Instructions:
Format of the Journal Entry: Each reflection entry should be structured using the “What, So What, Now What” method. Divide your reflection into three distinct sections:
“What”: Describe the experience or learning event.
Provide a detailed account of the experience, event, or learning from the week. Be specific and objective in describing the what you learned this week.
“So What”: Analyze and interpret the experience’s significance and impact.
Reflect on the significance of the module topics. What did you learn, and why is it important? Analyze the impact of the experience on your perspectives, values, beliefs, or understanding.
“Now What”: Articulate actions, changes, or strategies for future improvement based on the experience.
How can you use this learning to enhance your future actions, decisions, or behaviors? What changes or improvements will you make moving forward? How will you apply what you have learned in your future healthcare career?
Reflective Writing Guidelines:
Use clear and concise language. Write in the first person to convey your personal thoughts and experiences.
Be honest and open in your reflections. Reflect on both positive and challenging experiences.
Incorporate evidence or examples to support your reflections.
Demonstrate critical thinking and depth in your analysis and action plans.
