Create a PMI Project Management processes matrix. A two dimensional matrix will be sufficient, with project lifecycle phases listed on one axis (horizontally or vertically) and project management knowledge/functional areas on the other axis. Using MS Excel will be most convenient for it. Inside each cell in the matrix on the intersection of these two dimensions, list the name and / or the output of the corresponding process. You are allowed to use the resources available online or in your textbook to find the names of processes or outcomes. However, you must type them all in your submission document yourself. Example template below:
Phase name Phase name Phase name Phase name Phase nameKnowledge AreaKnowledge AreaProcess XYZKnowledge AreaOutput XYZProcess XYZKnowledge Area
Imagine you’re a wedding organiser who just received a project to organise the wedding of a young couple from your culture, living in Canada. Ignoring the cost and schedule constraints, create a charter document for this wedding.You are allowed to use the resources available online or in your textbook to get ideas of what a Charter statement should look like. However, the document you submit must be completely your own individual creation. Example Charter statement has been uploaded on resources section of eLearn.
Create a Work Breakdown Structure for the wedding project mentioned in deliverable 2 above. You may add activities as you like. However, for the purposes of this assignment, limit them to 3 levels of granulation. For clarity, I can confirm that the final outcome of “Wedding” will be level 0. Try to limit your total number of activities to 30. You may submit this part of your assignment in any ONE of these formats:
image/scan of a hand-drawn hierarchy;
hierarchy format drawing in MS Word, Excel, Visio or something else
indented outline/listing format in MS Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project etc.
