MAECEL Virtual Toolbox – Tool #3 Annotated Bibliography

This assignment is designed to introduce you to each of the MAECEL Program Learning Outcome (PLO) content topics and to acquaint you with locating quality, scholarly sources of information required at the graduate degree level. This tool will be an asset to you throughout the program to support your research related to program topics.

For this assignment, you will create an annotated bibliography (Links to an external site.). To begin, you will review the MAECEL PLOs (listed below) and locate at least one related scholarly, peer-reviewed source (Links to an external site.) in the Ashford Library databases related to the content topic for each PLO. Use the MAECEL Source Guide to learn more about locating scholarly sources in the Ashford Library (Links to an external site.). To assist in your search for locating articles, key terms for each PLO are located in this week’s Instructor Guidance to support your development of this assignment.

Writing and Formatting Expectations:

· Title Page: Must include a separate title page with the following:

· Title of paper

· Student’s name

· Date submitted

· Academic Voice: Academic voice (Links to an external site.) is used (avoids casual language, limited use of “I”, and it is declarative).

· Organization: Demonstrates logical progression of ideas.

· Syntax and Mechanics: Writing displays meticulous comprehension and organization of syntax and mechanics, such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

· APA Formatting: Papers are formatted properly and all sources are cited and referenced in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center (Links to an external site.).

· Suggested Assignment Length: This assignment should be about 3 to 4 double-spaced pages in length (not including title and reference pages).
