Jody Rush is a 20-year-old female presented at ED and was admitted for a right femur fracture.
Vital signs on admission were stable. The patient develops a reaction(Malignant Hyperthermia)
post anesthesia.
Subjective and Objective Assessment Findings
Jody Rush is a 42-year-old female who presents to the ED with right femur fracture
History of asthma,Preoperative vitals signs-Temperature 99.5F,Heart rate 89,respiration18,blood
pressure 128/89 mmhg,SpO2 98 on room air,Pain 10/10.Output 400cc,Lung sounds clear,Small
abration on foreheard,abdomen soft nontender,skin warm and dry,pulses +2 bilaterally,capillary
refill less than 2 seconds.
Postanesthesia assessment-Arousable,lethargic,reports of soreness and stiffness in the jar,clear
lung sounds,respiration fast but unlabored,abdomen soft, nondistended,bowel sounds hypoactive
in all quadrant,Surgical site intact and dry.Right has good sensation,client can wiggle
toes,Bilateral extremities cool to touch,capillary refill 3 seconds.Vital signs-temperature
102.5F,heart rate 154/min,respiration24/min,blood pressure,94/62mm Hg,SpO2 90% room air,.
