You will recommend to the board, given the nature of reimbursements and its impact on revenue streams, that now is the time to consider diversifying your hospital’s venues to compete with the out-patient market by seeking an alternative to the strictly hospital-based out-patient services being provided. You will provide a rationale on how the out-patient reimbursement model for value-based care would benefit the hospital’s revenue base, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
