The NCHL model has 26 specific competencies. Of these 26, the DHA program focuses on 19 competencies that best align with the program’s mission of preparing health professionals to become innovative leaders who can solve complex problems within the healthcare industry.Additionally, the DHA program uses 10 competencies from the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) model. The goal of the competencies in this model is to help prepare you for enhanced team-based care of patients and improved population health outcomes. The IPEC frameworks aligns with the program’s mission of students utilizing interprofessional practices to enhance strategic planning, healthcare management theory and approaches, and make evidenced-based decisions for optimal organizational performance within healthcare organizations.At specific milestones in the DHA program, you and your faculty mentor will assess your competency development. You will also have an opportunity to complete individualized development plans (IDPs) to address competency areas that you or your faculty mentor believe need further development.For this assignment, you are to complete the Student Competency Inventory Assessment. This assessment is a personal reflection on your current knowledge and capabilities in relation to your long-term professional development and career goals. There are no right or wrong answers.
